Shift-Based Schedules: Generally Available starting on May 18
May 18th, 2026
Our new scheduling system is built on iCal standards (the same foundation as Google and Outlook calendars) to give teams a modern, flexible, and easier to manage experience:
- Quick start templates: Common schedule rotation patterns up and running in minutes
- Multi-responder shifts: Stack coverage when you need it or even add shadow rotations that enable team members to observe shifts without getting paged
- Custom shifts: Build any rotation to fit how your team actually works
Shift-Based Schedules are now rolling out to all customers in Web UI, API*, Mobile App (view + limited overrides), and Terraform. Your existing schedules will continue working and stay fully editable. An upgrade tool is coming soon. Learn more.
Important note: Shift-based schedules use the V3 API and are not compatible with V2 automations. Review this guide to learn more.
