PagerDuty Integration | Jeli

Jeli Part of PagerDuty

With our PagerDuty | Jeli integration, you can page responders into an incident from the Jeli Incident Response bot, and automatically gather PagerDuty data for your analysis.

Jeli will show you who was on call during an incident and what alerts PagerDuty sent, allowing for a more complete representation of the incident.

Integration Restriction

A Jeli account can only have PagerDuty or Opsgenie integration configured, not both.

Use the PagerDuty | Jeli Integration

All actions taken by Jeli within the PagerDuty account (e.g., creating an incident, triggering alerts) will be recorded in PagerDuty with the name of user who configured the integration.

Initiate a Page: /jeli page

Jeli pages via PagerDuty by first creating an incident within PagerDuty on a particular service. To page someone, first select a PagerDuty service

Next, select the user you would like to page. You may optionally notify additional users. You do have the option to notify additional users later in the incident if necessary.

Jeli will create a PagerDuty incident and post an update in Slack.

Request Additional Responders: /jeli page

After first issuing the page command, you may use the command again later in the incident to request additional responders.

Depending on your account's pricing plan, you will see different behavior:

PagerDuty Business, Digital Operations (legacy) and Enterprise for Incident Management Plans

Jeli will request additional responders by using the Add Responders feature. Add Responders is available on the following pricing plans: Business, Digital Operations (legacy) or Enterprise for Incident Management.

PagerDuty Free and Professional Plans

Jeli will request additional responders by assigning the incident to the additional users and/or escalation policies that you specify.

View PagerDuty Details for an Incident: /jeli escalate info

Jeli will display the details of the page as an ephemeral message within the incident chat.

Incident Analysis

Jeli queries the PagerDuty API when opportunities are created. It will show you all alerts that fired from 30 minutes before your opportunity started until 30 minutes after it ended.

This PagerDuty data can then be used as evidence as you analyze and build the narrative of your opportunity.
