Requirements
You must configure the Jira Cloud integration before using this action.
Description
Create Jira issues based on the workflow trigger condition(s) and the field options defined in the workflow configuration form.
Instructions
- If you have not done so already, please follow our instructions to Create an Incident Workflow.
- When you are prompted to add actions , select this action.
- Enter the following Inputs and then click Save. Continue following instructions to Publish the Workflow. When the action runs, you will see the Outputs listed below.
Inputs
Name | Description |
---|---|
Jira Account | Select the Jira Account to use this workflow. Note: If you do not see the account field, please recreate the workflow action in order to use this feature to switch to a different Jira account. |
Project | Select the project to create an issue in. |
Issue Type | Select the type of issue to create. |
Summary | Title for the issue. |
Description | Description for the issue. |
Additional Issue Fields | Click Add Jira Fields to fill out additional fields for this issue. |
Create a test issue (optional) | Following a successful request, a new issue will be created in the Jira project associated with the workflow action. |
Outputs
Name | Description |
---|---|
Jira Issue Key | The key reference key for the created Jira issue. |
Jira Issue Link | The link reference for the created Jira issue (URL). |
Result | Value that shows if the action was successful or not. Either "Success" or "Failed". |
Result Summary | Brief description of what the action did or if it failed. |
Error | Brief description that is populated if the action failed. |
