Requirements

You must configure the Jira Cloud integration before using this action.

Description: Create Jira issues based on the workflow trigger condition(s) and the field options defined in the workflow configuration form.

Instructions:

  1. If you have not done so already, please follow our instructions to Create an Incident Workflow.
  2. When you are prompted to add actions , select this action.
  3. Enter the following Inputs and then click Save. Continue following instructions to Publish the Workflow. When the action runs, you will see the Outputs listed below.

Jira AccountSelect the Jira Account to use this workflow.

Note: If you do not see the account field, please recreate the workflow action in order to use this feature to switch to a different Jira account.
ProjectSelect the project to create an issue in.
Issue TypeSelect the type of issue to create.
SummaryTitle for the issue.
DescriptionDescription for the issue.
Additional Issue FieldsClick Add Jira Fields to fill out additional fields for this issue.
Create a test issue (optional)Following a successful request, a new issue will be created in the Jira project associated with the workflow action.

Outputs:

NameDescription
Jira Issue KeyThe key reference key for the created Jira issue.
Jira Issue LinkThe link reference for the created Jira issue (URL).
ResultValue that shows if the action was successful or not. Either "Success" or "Failed".
Result SummaryBrief description of what the action did or if it failed.
ErrorBrief description that is populated if the action failed.
