Description
Add important links to a Slack channel header.
Instructions
- If you have not done so already, please follow our instructions to Create an Incident Workflow.
- When you are prompted to add actions , select this action.
- Enter the following Inputs and then click Save. Continue following instructions to Publish the Workflow. When the action runs, you will see the Outputs listed below.

Name | Description |
---|---|
Workspace | Select a Slack Workspace from the list. |
Channel | - If you select Incident Dedicated Channel , the action will attempt to use the dedicated incident channel. - Otherwise, use the Select the Channel dropdown to select a channel to send the message to. To bookmark on a private channel, you must first invite the PagerDuty app (@PagerDuty ) to the private channel in Slack. |
Bookmark name | The name that will be associated with the bookmark in the channel header. |
Bookmark link | A valid URL that the bookmark will lead to. |
Bookmark emoji | Optional emoji to associate with the bookmark (ex: : fire : ) |
Outputs
Name | Description |

Result | Value that shows if the action was successful or not. Either "Success" or "Failed". |
Result Summary | Brief description of what the action did or if it failed. |
Error | Brief description that is populated if the action failed. |
