Description
Rename a Slack channel.
Instructions
- If you have not done so already, please follow our instructions to Create an Incident Workflow.
- When you are prompted to add actions , select this action.
- Enter the following Inputs and then click Save. Continue following instructions to Publish the Workflow. When the action runs, you will see the Outputs listed below.

Workspace | Select a Slack Workspace from the list |
Select the Channel | Select the Channel Name of the channel where the message is sent |
Name | New name for the channel |
Channel ID | In-browser ID of the channel to link, always starts with "C" |
Channel Privacy | The privacy of the linked channel in Slack. Can be public or private. |
Incident ID | ID of the incident to post update to |
Account ID | Account ID to use to post the status update |
Assigned User ID | User ID to make the status update on behalf of |

Result | Value that shows if the action was successful or not. Either "Success" or "Failed." |
Result Summary | Brief description of what the action did or if it failed. |
