Search Capabilities

Contains Search

Find results that contain a specific substring. For example, searching for serv will return results containing "service", "server", etc. Contains search works across multiple words in a search phrase and is not limited to alphanumeric characters.

Prefix Search

Find results that start with a specific string by appending an asterisk (*) to the end of your search term. This allows for more targeted searches beyond simple "contains" searches.

Example: Searching for inc* will return results that start with "inc", such as "incident" and "INC67890", but not "since" or "distinct".

Exact Match Search

Search for exact phrases by enclosing your search terms in quotation marks, ensuring precise results.

Example: Searching for Manually escalated SEV-2 will return only results that exactly match this phrase. Regular searches without quotes will return results that contain any combination of the words in the phrase in any order.

Minor Typo Tolerance

The improved search can now handle minor typos in search queries, allowing users to find relevant results even if there are small spelling errors in their search terms.
