Noise Reduction

Not every alert should be an incident. PagerDuty's noise reduction capabilities — part of PagerDuty AIOps — leverage data science and machine learning to limit system noise and reduce alert fatigue. This means fewer incidents and interruptions for on-call responders, richer context around the incidents that do trigger, and lower resolution times.

You can access the Noise Reduction homepage in the PagerDuty web app by navigating to AIOps Noise Reduction. Here you will see an overview of noise reduction features:

You can create or edit settings from this central page.

Alert Grouping

Alert Grouping groups alerts into an incident on a service using different grouping techniques. Global Alert Grouping expands the scope of alert grouping by applying a setting across multiple services.

Auto-Pause Incident Notifications

Auto-Pause Incident Notifications automatically pauses notifications for transient alerts — alerts that typically auto-resolve on their own — giving them time to resolve before interrupting responders.
