Create Orchestration rules with AI

Proactively generate and apply event-driven automations with AI Orchestrations. This page outlines where to find AI recommendations, how they are evaluated, and how to apply or dismiss them confidently.

Availability

This feature is only available for AIOps customers and is currently in Early Access. Please work with your Customer Success Manager or your Account Manager to have it enabled.

AI Orchestrations automatically analyzes your historical events and incidents and surfaces recommended rules that can reduce noise, improve MTTR, and accelerate your automation setup. You can review the expected impact, understand why a recommendation was made, and apply it in just a few clicks.

Access AI Recommendations

  • In Event Orchestration, click the AI Recommendations tab on the landing page to view a global list of recommendations across all services.
  • You can also open the AI Recommendation panel from the Orchestration page using the Recommendation button at the bottom.

AI Recommendations Table

The AI Recommendations table provides a high-level view of all suggestions. Columns include:

  • Service Orchestration: Name of the relevant Service Orchestration.
  • AI Recommendation: Either a concise AI-generated summary of the proposed rule or a generic summary that does not leverage AI.
  • Tags: The type of action the rule will apply.
  • Impact: Estimated impact of applying the rule based on historical events and incidents over the last 90 days.
  • Success Rate: How accurately the rule would have performed on events in the past 90 days.
  • Date: When the recommendation was generated.
  • Review: Opens the recommendation in the related Service for detailed review before applying.

AI Orchestration Segment

  • AI Orchestration rules are evaluated in a dedicated segment after all manual Global Orchestration and Service Orchestration rules.
  • Each AI Orchestration rule is evaluated regardless of order within the segment.
  • You can add rules from the AI Recommendation panel, as well as disable or delete them at any time.

AI Recommendation Panel

  • Clicking the Recommendation button at the bottom of an Orchestration opens the AI Orchestration segment and displays the AI Recommendation panel.
  • The panel lists recommendation cards that summarize the same details shown in the AI Recommendations table, so you can quickly assess priority and relevance.

Apply or Dismiss Recommendations

Click Review on a recommendation card to open the rule modal.

  • Review the recommended condition and click Next.
  • Review the proposed action and click Save to apply the rule.
    • The rule becomes active and appears in the AI Orchestration segment.
  • Adjust conditions and actions to fit your use case.
    • Note: Excessive changes may reduce the effectiveness of the rule.
  • To decline a recommendation, click Dismiss. To improve future recommendations, rate it as either: Good Recommendation or Bad Recommendation.
