Mobile Widgets

Widgets provide a fast way to access PagerDuty information without fully launching the mobile app.

Mobile Widgets are available to users on all pricing plans.

On-Call Widget

The PagerDuty on-call widget allows mobile app users to quickly view their on-call status and any upcoming PagerDuty shifts from their device home screen without needing to open the PagerDuty app.

Add the On-Call Widget

Depending on your device, the steps to add a widget may differ slightly from the instructions below.

iOS Home Screen

  1. Long-press your device's home screen and tap the icon on the left to add a widget.
  2. Select PagerDuty from the widget Library and choose the widget size that suits your preference. For users with multiple Escalation Policies, we recommend opting for the large widget.

iOS Lock Screen

An on-call widget is also available for your lock screen.

  1. Touch and hold the Lock Screen until the Customize button appears.
  2. Tap Customize.
  3. Tap Lock Screen, then tap + Add Widgets.
  4. Finally, tap or drag the PagerDuty widget onto your Lock Screen for quick access.

Android Home Screen

  1. Long-press your device's home screen.
  2. Tap Widgets and select PagerDuty from the widget library.

Android users can resize the widget vertically and horizontally to view more or less escalation policies.

Interact with the On-Call Widget

Tap the widget to navigate to the mobile app's My On-Call Shifts screen.

Change Subdomain

To see on-call shifts from a different subdomain, you will need to switch accounts in your PagerDuty Mobile App. Open the PagerDuty Mobile App navigate to More and select a different Account.

Reposition the On-Call Widget

To reposition the widget, long-press it and drag-and-drop it to a new location on your device's home screen. Android devices may also see an option to resize the widget.

Delete the On-Call Widget

To remove the widget, long-press the widget and select the option to remove it.
