Zoom Integration | Jeli
Jeli Part of PagerDuty
Zoom + Jeli Benefits
- Create Zoom meetings in Slack.
- Automatically import Zoom data into Jeli for analysis.
- Effortlessly manage and analyze incidents.
Requirements
Availability
Jeli is available with the Enterprise plan for Incident Management. Please contact our Sales Team to upgrade to an account plan with this feature.
In Jeli
- Admin permissions are required to manage Jeli integrations. To add someone as an admin, visit User Access Management Settings in the Jeli web app.
In Zoom
- Users must be able to read and edit Zoom integrations. Please contact your Zoom administrator to adjust your permissions.
How it Works
- When managing incidents with Jeli in Slack, a Zoom bridge can be automatically created for you and shared with responders.
- After you resolve the Jeli incident, information about your Zoom meeting will be automatically imported into Jeli for analysis via API, e.g., start time, end time, participants.
Integration Walkthrough
Internal Service Account
We recommend creating an internal service account to configure the Zoom integration. If an individual user sets up the Zoom integration and then leaves your company, the Zoom integration will no longer work. If you’re not sure how to request or set up a service account, reach out to your internal IT team.
In Jeli
- Navigate to Settings Integrations Zoom.
- Click Connect an account.
- Connecting an account will redirect you to Zoom. Follow the prompts, and click Allow to authorize the Jeli app.
Zoom | Jeli Integration User Guide
After configuring the Zoom | Jeli integration, Jeli will automatically import Zoom data into your account for analysis. You can expand Zoom links in the incident transcript to provide additional meeting metadata (e.g., start time, end time, participants).
You can also see who participated in the call by clicking on the number in the Participants field.
You will also now have the option to start a Zoom bridge automatically when opening an incident using the Jeli Slack app. Select Use Integrations Start a Zoom bridge for this incident.
Troubleshooting
It is possible to receive an error when hovering over Zoom links in Jeli: We were unable to import this meeting’s information from Zoom
.
There are a few reasons why you may be receiving this message:
- The Zoom meeting at this link was never started, or had only one participant.
- The account used to configure your Zoom integration does not have permission to this meeting.
- The Zoom meeting could not be found.
- You have a free Zoom account. Retrieving Zoom meeting participants is only available for paid Zoom accounts; please check your account to verify.
Uninstall the Zoom | Jeli Integration
- Log in to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click Manage Added Apps or search for the Jeli app.
- Click the Jeli app.
- Click Remove.
