Noise Reduction
Minimize noise, group alerts intelligently, and auto-pause transient notifications
Not every alert should be an incident. PagerDuty’s noise reduction capabilities—part of PagerDuty AIOps—leverage data science and machine learning to limit system noise and reduce alert fatigue. This means fewer incidents and interruptions for on-call responders, richer context around the incidents that do trigger, and lower resolution times.
You can access the Noise Reduction homepage in the PagerDuty web app by navigating to AIOps Noise Reduction. Here you'll see an overview noise reduction features:
Users can create or edit settings seamlessly from this central page.

Alert Grouping
Alert Grouping groups alerts into an incident on a service, using different techniques or types of alert grouping. Global Alert Grouping allows users to expand the scoping of alert grouping by configuring a setting that will apply alert grouping across multiple services.
Auto-Pause Incident Notifications
Auto-Pause Incident Notifications automatically notifications for transient alerts which are alerts that typically auto-resolve on their own, therefore giving time for them to resolve before distracting responders.
