What is Jeli?

Welcome to Jeli.io! Jeli is where incidents turn into learning moments. It helps teams manage incidents from start to finish: responding, communicating, and understanding what happened. With Jeli, you can easily see patterns and themes across incidents to help with future planning. It brings your tools and team together to make incident management and learning simpler.

📘

Availability

Jeli is available to customers with a standalone Jeli plan, or if they are on the Enterprise plan for Incident Management. For customers who have Jeli as part of their pricing plan, all users (regardless of user role) will have access to Jeli.

Please contact our Sales Team to upgrade to an account plan with Jeli.

Jeli Slackbot

The Jeli Slackbot is designed to:

  • Help responders understand and communicate what’s happening during an incident or situation.
  • Keep non-responding stakeholders informed about mitigation efforts.
  • Easily import Slack messages into app.jeli.io for analysis and investigation and helping prepare for incident reviews.

Jeli Web App

The Jeli web app is designed to:

  • Review all of your Slack event data to gain more context on what happened, who was involved, and what the experience was like for those involved in the incident.
  • Analyze your incidents using cross-incident data to learn more about how your opportunities relate to one another.
  • Easily create timelines from event data automatically imported from Slack as you piece together of what happened during an incident.
  • Export reports and data to stakeholders and interested parties.

Run a Demo Incident

Running a demo incident with the Jeli Slackbot gives you all the same features as normal response, except for the following:

  • We do not broadcast the incident using broadcast channels.
  • We do not upload the Slack channel into Jeli once the incident is closed.
  • /jeli escalate and /jeli page are disabled, which would trigger PagerDuty notifications.

Running a demo incident is great for familiarizing yourself with Jeli’s features without creating any false alarms. You can use it when running stress tests, game days, or mock incidents to practice incident response with your team.

Add Integrations

You can use Jeli for both incident response via the Jeli Slackbot, and for incident analysis via the Jeli web app. Integrating with your tech stack makes it easier for responders and investigators to coordinate and communicate during an incident, and to run a retrospective after the incident.

  1. Navigate to Jeli's integrations by going to Settings Integrations.
  2. Select your preferred integration, click Connect, and follow the instructions prompt.

We recommend connecting Jeli to Slack first, as you'll need this for both incident response and incident analysis features.

User Account Roles

Account roles determine the access level a user has in regards to the overall account configuration. There are two roles at the account level:

  • Admin: This role has advanced permissions that allow the user to update accounts settings and create, edit and delete Incident Review Templates. Admins for your organization automatically inherit Opportunity Owner level access to every opportunity in Jeli (including private opportunities).
  • User: This role cannot update account settings and is the default role assigned to new users. These users can be assigned opportunity roles for individual opportunities.

You can learn more about viewing and editing users' account roles in our Jeli Settings and Integrations article.
